Joyful Learning
Our name—gioiosa, meaning joyous—says it all. Learning should be a joyous experience, and that is what we strive for. The goal of our program is to provide a carefully curated environment with an extensive range of learning opportunities to allow your child to pursue their interests and have fun doing it. Some of the focus areas we make available for children include literacy, mathematics, geography and cultural competency and Spanish. In addition to these academic focus areas, we place a strong importance on practical life skills, social and emotional development, nutritional awareness, and a love and appreciation of nature. We are a Montessori environment, which has many components, but in short means that we meet children on their level, and follow their lead as they show us what they need to learn and grow.
Beyond Babysitting
We know your children are precious to you - they are precious to us too. We believe that children deserve the opportunity to develop who and what they are through meaningful experiences inside and outside of classrooms. At Gioiosa Montessori, we strive to create opportunities for children to engage in those experience through child-led learning and play. We also strive to partner closely with our parents and community to ensure that learning doesn't stop at the classroom door.
Parents as Partners
It is vital that we maintain two way communication with you throughout the day and throughout your child's learning experiences. At Gioiosa we use Brightwheel to provide constant communication, photos, and updates on your child's day. We encourage you to use Brightwheel to communicate with us throughout the day as well!
